  <long-description>&lt;p&gt;Daniel joined &lt;strong&gt;Thrive&lt;/strong&gt;Smart in 2007 as a co-founder to create great web based products for small and medium businesses.&amp;nbsp; Daniel is one of &lt;strong&gt;Thrive&lt;/strong&gt;Smart's technical whiz bang's, and a self described "back-end" ninja, git &lt;span&gt;aficionado&lt;/span&gt;, &lt;span&gt; and &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;Deployment master&lt;/span&gt;.&amp;nbsp; Daniel has designed, built, deployed and supported applications in seven languages (that he can remember) and is always looking to the next technical challenge.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Prior to &lt;strong&gt;Thrive&lt;/strong&gt;Smart, Daniel worked for Accenture in the Services workforce, where he worked in functional and technical roles -&amp;nbsp; creating an authentication and authorization library, project manager, developer and support engineer.&amp;nbsp; Prior to Accenture Daniel worked for Sun Microsystems and the Scripps Photobiology Group (at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography).&amp;nbsp; Daniel holds a BS degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California San Diego.&lt;/p&gt;
